With no official word on the Rajasthan crisis from the Congress high command, media reports suggest that Ashok Gehlot is most likely to continue as the Chief Minister.

This is because the deadline of the show cause notice served to Shanti Dhariwal, Mahesh Joshi and Dharmendra Rathore has ended with no action against the rebel leaders in sight.

Of the three leaders, only Dhariwal has sent his response without making the content public. Joshi said that he received the notice on 6 October only and he has 10 days of time to file the response.

Meanwhile, Gehlot is functioning as routine, visiting places and meeting people. Observers believe that he is trying to indicate that 'all is well' and he is most likely to continue.

On the other hand, the Pilot camp appears quite on the issue. However, Sachin Pilot has met Minister Pratap Singh Khachariyawas and other MLAs of his camp this week, indicating that he is still hopeful.
