India’s leading DTH operator Tata Sky has removed 11 channels from its free to air (FTA) complimentary pack from 1 December, Dream DTH has reported.
These 11 channels which belong to the Hindi and regional category would now have to be separately added by the customers in an Ala-Carte manner.
The 11 channels are - V6 News, Bflix Movies, MBC TV, Hindi Khabar, Naxatra News, Sai TV, Paras TV, I News, MKN, Sadhna News and Prameya News 7.
As a result of this removal, a total of 150 channels are now being offered by Tata Sky under its FTA complimentary pack.
“These channels were part of the pack under a promotional offer which is being discontinued. Hence the same channels are dropped from the FTA complimentary pack”, a Tata Sky representative was quoted as saying.
Tata Sky though has also decided to throw-in a sweetener by opting to convert Vissa TV and Raj Musix Kannada into a FTA offering.
