Bengal Gears Up For PM Modi's Mega Rally In Kolkata's Brigade Grounds, Mithun Chakraborty To Attend

In what is expected to be a big event in the buildup to the West Bengal polls, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will today (7 March) address a mega rally in Kolkata's Brigade grounds from 12 PM onward.

As per reports, the Prime Minister is expected to be joined by actor Mithun Chakraborty who may BJP at the rally. Even current BCCI president Sourav Ganguly is rumoured as a potential guest at the rally, but no clarity has emerged as of yet over his political entry.

Former railways minister Dinesh Trivedi who recently joined the BJP in party president J P Nadda's presence will also attend the rally.

The polls in Bengal will be held in eight phases between 27 March and 6 April. They are expected to become a direct battle between the ruling TMC and the BJP. Even BJP's potential chief ministerial nominee Suvendu Adhikari is expected to be locked in a head to head battle with Mamata Banerjee in Nandigram.
