Bengaluru: Repair Works To Halt Namma Metro Services Between MG Road And Indira Nagar From 28 To 30 December

Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) has decided to temporarily suspend metro services between MG Road and Indira Nagar Metro Stations that fall on the Purple Line with the services to be unavailable from 8 pm on 28 December and 30 December (whole day) to complete major final repair works at Trinity metro station, reports Times of India.

The train however, will be operational on the Purple Line between Mysuru Road-MG Road and Indira Nagar-Byappanahalli sections. The train will be available with different headways ranging from 6-15 minutes.

On 28 December, the commuters traveling on North-South line can avail the tokens for stations beyond M G Road towards Byappanahalli only till 6.45 pm.

As an alternative offered to the inconvenience caused, BMRCL is arranging shuttle bus services free of cost between Cubbon Park and Byappanahalli metro station on 28 December between 8pm and 11pm. Same will continue for whole day on the subsequent days, till 30 December.

According to the report, once the repair works are done, the services will be restored on 31 December morning at 5am.
