Shashwat Gautam, a resident of Motihari, Bihar, has accused political strategist Prashant Kishor of forgery and has filed a case against him, reports Hindustan Times.

Gautam has alleged in his complaint that the ‘Baat Bihar Ki’ campaign started by Kishor was originally conceptualised by him. He further added that his former colleague named Osama leaked the idea and content to Kishor, who then built his campaign with a similar name.

Gautam further claims that he had registered for ‘Bihar Ki Baat’ website in January itself, while Kishor started his portal in February. Additionally, the reports also states that Gautam has given proof to the police to support his claim. Gautam has also filed a case against Osama.

The FIR was registered under Sections 420 (cheating) and 406 (punishment for criminal breach of trust) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) at Patliputra Police Station.

Notably, Gautam has studied MBA from George Washington University in Washington, DC and had even won the students union election there in 2012.

At the ''Baat Bihar ki'' programme, Kishor claimed that he aimed to make Bihar one of the top 10 best states in the country.
