WhatsApp is reportedly working on adding a new feature to its social messaging application. The company is planning to bring two new modes - Silent mode and Vacation mode- aiding users to enjoy their vacation without any disturbance, India Today has reported.

WhatsApp has enabled silent mode feature for the android users but for other platforms it will roll it out on a later stage.

The silent mode, which has been enabled on Android, will restrict the app icon badge from displaying notification and content for chats and groups that are muted by the user.

The other feature, vacation mode, would prevent muted archived chats from being un-archived until a user un-mutes or un-archives them. The vacation mode will also be useful if you don’t want a specific chat in your chatlist.

The settings for the vacation mode will be available for Android, iOS and Windows platforms in the coming days.

The company is also developing a Linked Accounts mode for WhatsApp Business users. This feature will allow the user to link their accounts with external services. The currently linked service to the account is Instagram. More information will roll out about this feature in the future.
