A special National Investigation Agency (NIA) court has acquitted key accused Swami Aseemanand in the 2007 Ajmer blast case, reported ANI. It also found three persons guilty in the case.

The case pertains to the blast that rocked the dargah of Sufi saint Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti in October 2007 during the month of Ramzan. The blast had left three persons dead and 17 injured. Since then, the investigation has taken several twists and turns with Pakistani terrorist organisation Lashkar-e-Taiba first being suspected and later the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh.
