Offering a solution to the Ram Janmabhoomi-Babri Masjid dispute earlier today, the Uttar Pradesh Shia Central Waqf Board has suggested building Ram temple at the disputed Ayodhya site and the mosque in Lucknow, ANI has reported.

"After discussions with different parties, we have prepared a proposal in which a Ram temple will be built in Ayodhya and a mosque can be built in Lucknow,” Shia Waqf Board chairman Syed Waseem Rizvi told ANI.

A draft proposal for peaceful settlement of the dispute will be ready by 6 December, the chairman of the Shia board had said earlier this month.

“I have discussed the terms and conditions for an out-of-court settlement with the mahants of Ayodhya and all other petitioners. Another meeting with them is due next week to give final touches to the accord,” Rizvi had said.

Rizvi had said he would visit Ayodhya soon to discuss the draft agreement and “something concrete would materialise” by 6 December.

The Shia Central Waqf Board chairman had on 31 October met Art of Living founder Sri Sri Ravishankar for a negotiated settlement. Ravishankar met Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath last week in Lucknow.
