An FIR has been filed by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) against YouTube channels for falsely claiming that they have access to original question papers of upcoming annual CBSE board examinations.

The board is currently holding its annual examinations for class 10 and 12 students in India and abroad. Few YouTube channels have uploaded fake question papers of subjects whose examinations are yet to be conducted like Geography, Accountancy and Chemistry papers of class 12 and Science, English and Mathematics papers of Class 10.

The board has written to Delhi Police and requested it to take suitable, prompt and strict action against culprits under provisions of IT and IPC Act, so that the examinations are conducted smoothly, as per reports by India Today.

A complaint has been received in Madhu Vihar police station from the CBSE office which has demanded legal action against people for uploading fake videos on the internet. The false rumour of CBSE’s question paper leakage is reportedly spreading unrest and panic amongst students who are appearing for the examinations.
