Ending days of dilemma for lakhs of students, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Monday (18 May) released the date-sheet for the pending board examinations of class 10 and 12, which are now going to be conducted from 1 to 15 July.
While class 10 exams are pending in North-East Delhi only, several class 12 papers could not be conducted across the country due to coronavirus-triggered lockdown. Overall, remaining 29 exams of both classes will begin from 1 July.
Union Human Resource and Development (HRD) Minister Dr Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank tweeted and informed about the announcement, Livemint reported.
“Dear students of class 10th of #CBSE Board studying in North East District, New Delhi, here is the date sheet for your board exams. All the best,” he wrote while sharing the date-sheet for secondary school exams.

The class 10 exams will take place on four dates, starting 1 July, said the Controller of Examination, CBSE Sanyam Bhardwaj, while adding that “the first paper will be of Social Sciences, while the next day students will be required to appear for Science exam”.
“On July 10, exams will be conducted for both courses of Hindi and on July 15 for both courses of English," he said, as reported by The Times of India.
The HRD Minister also shared the date-sheet for senior secondary exams with students, while wishing the good luck.

According to the date-sheet, Physics paper of class 12 will be held on July 4 and the paper of Chemistry on July 6. These exams are only for the students of north east Delhi. The exams were postponed due to communal violence in north east Delhi.
Similarly, Exam for Home Science will be held on July 1 on all India basis and of Geography on July 11.
Along with the date-sheet, the government has provided detailed guidelines for students to be followed strictly during the exams. These include carrying hand sanitisers, wearing masks and maintaining proper physical distancing at the exam centres.
“Parents will have to ensure their ward is not sick and candidates will have to strictly follow physical-distancing norms,” Bhardwaj said.
Exams will be held from 10:30am and 1:30pm.
