CM Yogi Appeals People To Watch Ram Temple’s Bhoomi Pujan From Television And Not Assemble In Ayodhya

With merely days to go for the historic Bhoomi Pujan ceremony for the construction of Ram Mandir in Uttar Pradesh (UP)'s Ayodhya, Chief Minister (CM) Yogi Adityanath has made a concerted appeal to the devotees, reports Times of India.

On Friday (31 July), CM Adityanath requested the people to avoid any assembly in Ayodhya on 5 August, when the ceremony will be conducted in the presence of Prime Minister (PM) Narendra Modi.

CM Adityanath also appealed to the people to watch the entire ceremony on the television screens, given the event will be live-telecasted straight from the Ram Janmabhoomi site. He also asked the devotees to light diyas in nearby temples and recite Ramayan on 4-5 August.

CM Adityanth's appeal to the people came just a day after a priest at the Ram Janmabhoomi site and 12 security personnel in Ayodhya had contracted the COVID-19 viral disease.

The construction of the temple, which will begin post the ceremony will mark a watershed moment for tens of crores of devotees from different parts of India and the world.
