Nandkoshor Gurjar a BJP MLA from Loni in Uttar Pradesh has filed a complaint against actor Anushka Sharma the producer of controversial web series Pataal Lok, Hindustan Times has reported.
In the complaint, Gurjar has accused Anushka Sharma of unauthorised use of his image and showing Sanatan Dharma’s castes in a negative light.
The controversy has emanated out of this image used in the Amazon Prime web series.
This image has been incorporated from an image of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister inaugurating a 10.3 km-long elevated road from UP Gate to Raj Nagar Extension in Ghaziabad back in March 2018.
The Pataal Lok makers are said to have morphed the face of a corrupt character named Balkishan Bajpayee on Yogi’s picture. The synopsis of the said scene was a scam by the Uttar Pradesh government in a highways project.

While the filmmakers morphed the pictures of Yogi Adityanath and General V K Singh, it retained the image of BJP MLA Gurjar who has accused Anushka Sharma of misrepresenting his character in the web series.
It was earlier reported that a Gorkha community group had filed a complaint against Sharma with National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) for allegedly using ‘insulting, demeaning and derogatory’ language for a Nepali-speaking woman in the second episode.
