Soon after Prime Minister Narendra Modi proudly announced India’s successful testing of an Anti-Satellite missile, the Congress decided to credit its former leaders Jawaharlal Nehru and Indira Gandhi a tweet commending Mission Shakti’s success.
The tweet from the Congress’s official account began on a gracious note with the party praising ISRO and the Indian government for the achievement. DRDO which was instrumental in the operation, though found no mention in the tweet.
In the tweet, Congress credited Jawaharlal Nehru for establishing the Indian space program in 1961 and Indira Gandhi for setting up ISRO which it added has made India proud with its ground-breaking achievements.
This tweet was soon mocked by various social media users:

#missionshakti This achievment is accomplished by DRDO, I feel pity about the congress for not listening PM's speech properly. Congress is in confused state. https://t.co/kOpqJJMctF

Soon after the tweet started to attract attention, the Congress proceeded to delete it. It though decided to re post a similar tweet while including DRDO in its congratulatory message.
