‘Congress Fed Terrorists Biryani, BJP Served Them Bullets’: UP CM Yogi Adityanath Launches Attack In Rajasthan

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has said that terrorists were fed biriyani by the Congress while the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is feeding them bullets, India Today has reported. He has also claimed that the divisive politics of Congress had led to a rise in terrorism in the country.

Yogi Adityanath made these comments while campaigning for his party in Makrana, Rajasthan. He was referring to the tenth anniversary of the 26/11 terror attack on Mumbai. However, the public prosecutor had clarified that the comments made by him during Ajmal Kasab’s trial was aimed at stemming public sympathy that was emerging in favour of the terrorist.

“Kasab never demanded biryani and was never served by the government. I concocted it just to break an emotional atmosphere which was taking shape in favour of Kasab during the trial of the case," Public Prosecutor Ujjwal Nikam had clarified.

Ajmal Kasab, the lone 26/11 terrorist caught alive, was found guilty and was awarded death sentence. The death sentence was upheld by the Supreme Court. He was hanged in November 2012.
