Coronavirus: Maharashtra Police Have Filed Over 35,000 Cases For Violating Lockdown And Quarantine Norms

As number of coronavirus positive cases go on surging, there are some who do not seem to be understanding the importance of social distancing and keep violating the norms of the lockdown.

Maharashtra Police have so far registered over 35,000 cases against people across the state for violating government orders and quarantine rules during the ongoing nationwide lockdown to combat the spread of the deadly virus, Hindustan Times reported.

Maharashtra has been the worst-hit state in India with 1,895 positive cases in the state where 127 people have lost their lives. Known as country’s financial capital Mumbai alone has 1,259 COVID-19 positive cases and the numbers are rising everyday.

Total number of cases in India have moved close to 9,000, while 290 people have lost their lives so far, as per the India COVID-19 Tracker, that keeps a tap on data provided the health departments of states.
