Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath addressed a press conference on Saturday (21 March) amid coronavirus outbreak in the country and talked about various measure being taken by the state government for handling the situation.
Announcing one such measure, CM Adityanath said that the state government will give 15 lakh daily wage labourers and 20.37 lakh construction workers Rs 1,000 per day to meet their daily needs, reports India Today.

The transfer would be done using Direct benefit transfer (DBT) system into the bank accounts of the beneficiaries.
He also appealed to the people that there was no need to panic over coronavirus. He further assured that the state has taken adequate measures and has sufficient stock of essential commodities and medicines.
