‘Create An  Employment Generation Plan For A Crore People By 15 June’: CM Yogi Adityanath Instructs Officials

In a major development, Uttar Pradesh (UP) Chief Minister (CM) Yogi Adityanath has instructed the officials in his Government to devise a fresh employment plan by upcoming 15 June to engage the migrant workers in sundry development projects across the State, reports Times of India.

Instructing the officials to look for employment creation in the construction of assets like expressways, canals, medical colleges, roads and universities, CM Adityanath told them that the plan should look at the possibility of generating work opportunities for around a crore people in various sectors like industries, agriculture and also horticulture.

The development took place when CM Adityanath was presiding over a review meeting to assess the situation during the first phase of the unlock. He pushed the officials to engage the migrant workers into various schemes of the Centre and the Government in the State.

It should be noted that the latest push to create an employment plan comes after CM Adityanath had earlier stressed on the possibility of generating work for at least 50 lakh people under the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (MG-NREGS) in addition to pushing jobs in various small and medium scale industries.
