Days before the 'Chakka Jam' called by protesting farmers on 6 February, the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) has asked all of its units deployed in Delhi to fit their buses with wire mesh on a "war footing" to avoid any harm to Jawans, reports ANI.
The development comes as the farmers are protesting against the three farm-reform laws of the Centre. The protesters have called for a 'Chakka Jam' on 6 February against the farm laws.
In a letter, the CRPF had directed all units deployed in the national capital to complete the work on "war footing" before Saturday (6 February).

According to the report, the CRPF officials intend to cover all the buses with wires to save the jawans as well as the vehicles from protesting farmers. Since the time left for 'Chakka Jam' is very less, the CRPF has asked all of its units to work on "war footing".
"In view of above, you all are hereby directed that all buses available with of your Units, Splinter Coys be fitted with wire mesh. It should be done on a war footing," CRPF said.
It should be noted that 31 companies of CRPF has been deployed in the Delhi in wake of the farmers' protests on various borders of the national capital.
