The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) would announce the board exam results for classes X and XII earlier as compared to previous years, India Today has reported.

The board is also conducting the board examinations earlier in light of the Lok Sabha elections which is expected to take place in May. The exams would be conducted from 15 February for class XII and 21 February for class X.

In earlier years, the results were declared in the third-fourth week of May.

Also, CBSE has formed a three-layer security system this time round to prevent instances of paper leak.

The papers would be handed over to the schools under CCTV coverage and countersigned by the collecting person. The set would then be unsealed in front of the CBSE observers and two other examiners.

It has also been announced that there would be mandatory frisking of students during the board exams. Some of the other security measures include no watches, bags and just 24 students in each class rooms. Even invigilators won’t be allowed to carry mobile phones in the centres this time round.
