The Magenta line of the Delhi metro is planned to be linked with Aqua line of Noida metro to address the ever-growing challenges in the Intra-transportation connectivity of the Delhi-NCR region, reports Financial Express.
By connecting Noida and Greater Noida by initiating the integration of Noida Metro’s Aqua Line with Delhi Metro’s Magenta Line, the Noida development authorities are planning to strengthen the connectivity between the clusters.
According to reports, the Noida Sector 142 metro station of the Aqua Line is being considered for linking with the Delhi Metro Magenta Line’s Okhla station.
The Noida Metro Rail Corporation’s (NMRC) Aqua line, connecting Noida and Greater Noida, was inaugurated by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath in January, this year. The NMRC is conducting initial surveys to expand the network to Greater Noida West.
In the meantime, the authorities are also planning to link the upcoming Jewar International Airport with Knowledge Park metro station through a dedicated airport metro line.
