As per an ANI report, 37 leaders including Yogendra Yadav, Medha Patkar and Buta Singh have been named in a fresh FIR by the Delhi Police which alleges that these leaders were responsible for the violence.
The FIR alleges that the protesters knowingly changed the timing of their rally and changed their route to disrupt the Rajpath Parade.
Incidentally, following the violence Yogendra Yadav was seen taking the moral high ground as he went around saying that "he felt ‘ashamed’ of the way the tractor parade by farmers had turned out and took responsibility for it".
Over 300 Delhi Police personnel were injured in the violence unleashed by the farmer protesters. Various videos have shown the protesters attacking cops using sticks and swords and forcibly entering the Red Fort and unfurling a Sikh Flag.
As per reports, 200 have been detained so far in connection with the violence.
