Delhi University students on Wednesday (18 December) broke ranks from their Jamia, AMU and JNU counterparts and took out a rally in support of the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) and the Delhi police, ANI has reported.

In the video the crowd of students can be heard chanting slogans like Delhi Police Zindabad, and Bharat Mata Ki Jai. The protest is said to have been backed by the ABVP led DUSU.

This show of solidarity by Delhi University students in favour of the CAA comes just a day after students belonging to the Banaras Hindu University (BHU) took out solidarity march in favour of the CAA and the Narendra Modi led central government.

Various other colleges including IIT Roorkee and IIT Delhi have also taken out solidarity marches in favour of this act. A march has also been taken out in favour of CAA by students, teaches and staff members of JNU.
