The founder of the renowned Super 30 programme which coaches underprivileged children for IIT entrance examinations, Anand Kumar will be conducting an online session every month for the students of classes 11 and 12 studying in Delhi's government schools, reports NDTV.

The development was announced by Delhi's Education Minister Manish Sisodia on his official Twitter handle in which he exulted, "Am happy to share that Anand Kumar has agreed to conduct one class every month for Delhi Govt school students. This will be an online, virtual classroom for Class 11,12 students of our schools."

Sisodia also shared via a tweet that he too had studied in a government run school. He stressed that the gap between the government and privately run schools was widening.

The announcement came after Kumar met with students at a government school in Delhi at an event organised by the ruling Aam Aadmi Party (AAP).

Meanwhile, after Kumar's visit, the recently released movie based on his life, Super 30 was declared tax-free in Delhi by Sisodia, who is also the Finance Minister in the Delhi government.
