A special series on the High Altitude Warfare School (HAWS) is set to be showcased on Discovery Channel, reports the Television Post. The leading channel for factual entertainment will premiere the show as part of its Breaking Point Franchise every Friday at 10 PM until 9 November.

The show will give viewers a glimpse of HAWS, a globally renowned institution located in Gulmarg for training Indian and foreign soldiers from friendly countries for high and super high altitude warfare.

This four-episode series will show how soldiers are transformed into warriors who survive in super-cold weather through the art of mountain and winter warfare. The series is produced exclusively for Discovery channel by Sparklework Films. The series has attracted big-name sponsors including Toyota and Players Unknown Battlegrounds as the Co-Presenting Sponsor. The show will be co-powered by Vivo, LIC and PolicyBazaar. The associate sponsors are Dell, Cars24, Hong Kong Tourism and Reliance Digital.

The telecast of a special series on HAWS comes after the successful premiere of the Breaking Point Franchise which earlier this year had a series on Women Fighter Pilots, Air Force Academy and Indian Submariners.

Discovery Channel has already given glimpses of various training programmes of the Indian Armed Forces like Breaking Point: Commando School Belgaum (2017); ‘India’s Paratroopers – Earning the Badge’ (2016); ‘Revealed Siachen’ (2016) and ‘Revealed: National Defence Academy’ (2014).
