Leading direct-to-home (DTH) operator Dish TV is charging the lowest Network Capacity Fee (NCF), the Telecom Talk reports. Dish TV, which is a subsidiary of Zee Entertainment Enterprises, is pricing a flat NCF of Rs 50 on secondary connections.
The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) had given DTH service providers complete autonomy to levy or waive off NCF. While most operators like Tata Sky decided to impose heavy NCF, Videocon D2H and Dish TV charge the least NCF on secondary connections.
Dish TV's multiple TV connection policy allows customers to avail up to four child connections, including the parent connection at a flat NCF charge of Rs 50 on the secondary connections.
The operator also gives subscribers the option to either mirror the channels or select a completely different set of channels. Dish TV's consumer-friendly multiple TV policy is one of the reasons for it becoming the leading DTH operator in the country.
