Slamming Pakistan for helping Osama Bin Laden hide in Abbottaabd, US President Donald Trump said he did the right thing by cutting down on the millions of dollars that used to flow into Pakistan in the name of military aid. He added that the country ‘doesn’t do a damn thing’ for the United States in return.

In an interview to Fox News, he was quoted as saying, “You know, living – think of this – living in Pakistan, beautifully in Pakistan in what I guess they considered a nice mansion, I don't know, I've seen nicer. But living in Pakistan right next to the military academy, everybody in Pakistan knew he was there.”

Economic Times further cited excerpts from the interview as saying, “And we give Pakistan USD 1.3 billion a year. Bin Laden lived in Pakistan, we're supporting Pakistan, we're giving them USD 1.3 billion a year -- which we don't give them anymore, by the way, I ended it because they don't do anything for us, they don't do a damn thing for us.”

For sheltering terrorists, he said the country will be losing much. The changes in the foreign policy, especially with respect to Pakistan, came after he announced his South Asia Policy in August 2017. USD 300 million in military aid was cut off to Pakistan.
