Eight foreign nationals living in Delhi’s Bharat Nagar were today apprehended by authorities and during the course of the interrogation revealed that they had come from Markaz Nizamuddin. They have been living in Bharat Nagar since 19 March, ANI has reported.

Markaz Nizamuddin was the venue for the infamous Tablighi Jamaat event which has emerged as a large coronavirus infection vector in the country. Tamil Nadu health secretary announced a few minutes ago that 50 individuals who attended the event have now tested positive for Covid-19.
24 individuals in Delhi who were placed in isolation wards post the event have also tested positive. As per reports around 300 of those who attended the event are suspected of contracting coronavirus. The event has been linked to 10 deaths.
