Electoral prospects of BJP-Shiv Sena alliance in Maharashtra are promising with early trends showing a comfortable lead for the alliance in 38 out of the total 49 seats.

On the other hand, the Congress-NCP alliance leads in only nine seats. It should be noted that in 2014, BJP won 23 seats in the state while its alliance partner, the Shiv Sena, got 18.

Across the five Mumbai constituencies, the BJP-SS alliance leads in all of them. In the prestigious Mumbai South constituency, Shiv Sena candidate Arvind Ganpat Sawat is ahead of his rivals.

Across the Vidharba region in Eastern Maharastra, BJP-SS alliance is on track to sweep all the seats.
