According to the report, passengers currently face difficulties to commute between the two cities in the evening as the Kannur-Karwar Express has been diverted on the new route that goes via Shravanabelagola.
The diversion was approved in February and the train runs for four days a week, leaving no option for those travelling to Mysuru after 7 pm.
The Mysuru-Ramanagara MEMU special as a result would run from Thursday to Sunday. Departing from Krantiveera Sangolli Rayanna station in Bengaluru at 7.55 pm, it will reach Mysuru by around 11.15 pm in the night.
A decision on the timings for the return of train will be decided soon, the paper quoted a source as saying.
