Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) chief K Sivan melted hearts with his answers in a Sun TV interview.
In a video-clip going viral on social media, the interviewer asks K Sivan that as a Tamil, having attained a big position, what does he want to say to the people of Tamil Nadu.
The scientist replied, “First of all, I am an Indian, I joined ISRO as an Indian, and ISRO is a place where people from all regions and languages work and contribute,” He further added, “But I am grateful to my brothers who celebrate me.”
The ISRO chief who rose to prominence from a humble background, recently melted hearts when he became emotional after the Chandrayaan-2’s Vikram lander lost contact. In another video clip going viral on social media, PM Modi, himself a little emotional, was seen hugging and consoling Sivan.
The failure of Vikram’s soft-landing became a moment of national solidarity and unity, and the whole country came out in support of ISRO.
