A Delhi University alumnus, Aman Bhutani, will be taking over as the global CEO of web hosting giant GoDaddy from present CEO Scott Wagner, who has cited health reasons for his decision to step down, reports The Economic Times.
"Aman is a proven, extraordinary leader with a strong track record at Expedia for delivering operational excellence in a complex, global business. His extensive knowledge and experience in product and engineering teams, and his belief in culture and leadership as differentiators will serve GoDaddy well," stated Chair of the the Godaddy Board of Directors Chuck Robel.
Prior to this, Bhutani was working as president, Brand Expedia Group, where his career spanned a total of nine years. Other roles he had served in at the company were senior vice president of engineering and chief technology officer.
Bhutani, who also holds a masters in business administration from Lancaster University in the UK, was extensively involved in overseeing the online travel business at Expedia, but left the company amidst other organisational changes taking place.
