Ahead of his deposing before the Enforcement Directorate today (12 January) in Jaipur, Robert Vadra took to Facebook to express his firm belief that God would help him tide over difficult times, reports Hindustan Times (HT).
“Not understanding the lows of this vindictive government to be harassing a senior citizen,” Vadra said referring to the current NDA government. He noted that his mother had already faced great struggles in her life, having lost her daughter in a car crash, her sick son to diabetes, and her husband as well.
Vadra’s 75-year-old mother, Maureen Vadra, is also under investigation by ED and will appear before the authorities along with her son.
“If there was any issue or any illegality, which was found by the government, why did it take them four years and eight months to call me a month before campaigning begins for the general elections,” stated Vadra, who is married to Priyanka Gandhi and is the brother-in-law of Congress President Rahul Gandhi.
“I always have adhered to rules and overall being a disciplined person, I have the ability to sustain any amount of hours of questioning and having nothing to hide, I will answer every question with respect n dignity. This too shall pass and will make me stronger,” he added.
Vadra concluded the post by stating, “What goes around comes around. God is with us.”
Wishes For The Wife Too
Robert Vadra also wished his wife Priyanka Gandhi, luck on the launch of her campaign for the general elections this year (2019).
“My Best wishes to you P, on your new journey of working in Uttar Pradesh and serving the people of India. You have been my best friend a perfect wife and the best mother to our Children. There is a very Vindictive and vicious political atmosphere... But I know, it's her duty to serve the people and Now we hand her to the people of India. Please keep her safe (sic),” he wrote.
