Good News For Tata Sky Customers As DTH Operator Launches Cheaper, Better Version Of Multi-TV Scheme

DTH operator Tata Sky has improved upon its existing Multi-TV plan (which is all set to be scrapped from 15 June) by introducing its new version called “Room TV Service” which promises to be cheaper by providing greater freedom to customers for choosing channels, Telecom Talk has reported.

Under this new service, the subscribers would be able to choose different channels on the secondary connection as opposed to the previous practice wherein they were forced to view the same channels which were available on the primary connection.

This added freedom to choose only the required channels would mean that the customers would have to spend less for their secondary connection than before.

The caveat of Network Capacity Fee (NCF) though still remains and it needs to be seen whether Tata Sky offers a discounted price, like its previous practice for the Multi-TV facility.

It was earlier reported that Tata Sky has discontinued the Multi-TV option from 15 June, which had meant that the users would be billed separately for each connection, thereby increasing their costs.
