Tata Sky is developing a dedicated ‘Binge App’ for Google Play Store and iOS App Store users to access the DTH service provider’s Binge+ facility of 10 OTT applications on laptops, PCs and also web browsers.
As of now, this premium subscription that costs Rs 299 on a monthly basis was restricted merely on TV and no other devices, which had attracted several complaints from the users. Now, the Binge subscribers can link up to three devices per subscriber ID with Tata Sky for the Binge Mobile App.
This service will be made available free of cost but the simultaneous streaming on multiple screens will be according to rules of the partner applications too. The feature is being worked upon currently but the users can catch a glance at it on ‘www.tataskybinge.com’, Television Buzz reports.
Despite the latest development, three out of the 10 OTT applications on Binge+ will still be available only on television. They are: SonyLIV, SunNXT and Eros Now. The rest of the seven applications, i.e. Hungama Play, Voot Select, Disney+Hotstar, Voot Kids, Zee5, CuriosityStream and ShemarooMe can be streamed in multiple devices.
