Indian rival to the Chinese social media platform TikTok, Mitron's android application has been restored on Google's Play Store which had earlier this week delisted the application citing an apparent violation of Google's spam and minimum functionality policy, reports Financial Express.
The application was made available for 'official' downloads again on Play Store merely hours after the United States (US) based technology giant's vice president for Android and Google Play, Sameer Samat had said in a blog that the company had given the developer of the application some guidance for facilitating the application's return to Play Store.
It should be noted that Google had similarly suspended the much-downloaded and viral Indian application called 'Remove China Apps' for violating the Play Store's deceptive behaviour policy. The application had been designed and developed by Jaipur based homegrown OneTouch AppLabs.
Both Remove China Apps and Mitron had gone viral in India amid the ongoing wave of anti-China sentiment which has caught amid the tussle against China's attempt to usurp Indian sovereign territory in Ladakh along the Line of Actual Control (LAC).
