The Delhi police personnel on Thursday (19 December) decided to take care of the detained anti-Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) protesters by offering them refreshments in the city’s Surajmal stadium, ANI has reported.

As per the pictures posted by ANI, the detainees were offered bananas and what appears to be dates as part of refreshments.
Protests have broken out in various parts of the country including the national capital after a call for agitation led by NSUI. Earlier in the day Yogendra Yadav of the Swaraj Party was detained by the police while agitating the state capital.
Uttar Pradesh on the other hand has witnessed violent protests including a roadways bus being set on fire by protesters in Sambhal district.
In Lucknow people came out on large numbers in old city areas like Khadra and pelted stones at the police.
