The Indian Air Force (IAF) on Tuesday (9 December) demanded that Netflix withdraw a controversial scene from its upcoming movie AK vs AK wherein Anil Kapoor can be seen inaccurately wearing an IAF uniform while he hurls abuses at co-star Anurag Kashyap.

"The IAF uniform in this video is inaccurately donned & the language used is inappropriate. This does not conform to the behavioural norms of those in the Armed Forces of India. The related scenes need to be withdrawn.", the Indian Air Force tweeted from its official account.

In the clip tweeted by Anil Kapoor, he can be seen casually wearing what resembles an un-tucked IAF shirt as he hurls abuses at Kashyap when the latter goes to pitch a movie script.

In another scene Kapoor can be seen wearing the same IAF shirt while he entertains an onlooking crowd with his gesticulations and also assaults Kashyap in a different movie scene.

The IAF says that such scenes do not confirm to the behavioural norms of the Indian Armed Forces personnel.

Incidentally, Netflix India has recorded another controversy recently over its series - A Suitable Boy amid row over it depicting kissing scenes at a Hindu temple.

The complainants had questioned as to why all the kissing scenes which involves characters of a Muslim boy and a Hindu girl were only shot in the temple.
