ICAI Reschedules Chartered Accountancy Foundation, Final Exam Papers Citing Unavoidable Circumstances

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has postponed the 2019 CA Exam dates for Paper 3 of the CA Foundation Exam and Paper 4 and 5 of CA Final Exams citing "unavoidable circumstances", Firstpost reports.

The ICAI issued a notification on Friday (3 April) from the Joint Secretary (Exams) B Muralidharan. The announcement said that the paper 3 of the foundation exam, which includes business mathematics and logical reasoning (part 1) and statistics (part 2) papers is rescheduled to 13 June.

Papers 4 and 5 of the CA Final exam, in both old and new schemes, would now be conducted on 4 June and 13 June respectively, a notification on the website said.

The CA foundation, Intermediate and Final exams were scheduled between 2 May and 17 May. However, the exams were rescheduled due to Lok Sabha elections. According to the report, the exams are now set to start from 27 May, and there would not be a change in the schedule of the remaining papers, as per the 11 March notification.
