The boy who was slapped by Surajpur District Collector and IAS Officer Ranbir Sharma has expressed helplessness over his situation by stating that if the "Main Maalik (Main Lord)" of the district behaves with you in such a manner, where can you seek redressal.

In the video Aman, said that he had gone to the hospital to take food for his grandmother who is a Covid-19 patient. Then he went to a clinic to submit his brother's blood sample for testing and while returning he was stopped by the District Collector.
The boy said that he showed the necessary document to the IAS officer who initially allowed him to leave but then suddenly called him back, smashed his phone and gave him a tight slap.
When media persons asked him as to what action should be taken Aman said, "Sir if some junior official did something I would have complained to a senior official, but if the district's main Maalik collector Sahab has done this, where can I seek redressal".
In another video a 13-year-old kid has alleged that the Collector had asked a cop to hit him on the leg while he was buying medicines.
Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has ordered removal of Surajpur Collector Ranbir Sharma after a video of him went viral on social media in which he can be seen slapping a youth for violating lockdown rules.
The incident was followed by an uproar on social media platform with netizens demanding action against the IAS Officer. Sharma has apologised for his behaviour.
