The IIT aspirants have now received more time to prepare for their exam as JEE Advanced has been postponed in light of the Lok Sabha elections, Indian Express has reported.
As per an official statement by IIT Roorkee (which is organising the examination this year), it will now be held on 27 May as opposed to 19 May.
The exam will be held in both India and abroad in two slots of 9 am to 1 pm and 2 pm to 5 pm for paper 1 and paper 2 respectively.
The JEE Mains exam being conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) too was rescheduled earlier in light of the polls. The earlier slot for the examination was from 7 April to 20 April but it would now instead be conducted on 8, 9, 10, 12 April.
Other examinations like the Chartered Accountancy (CA) exam scheduled on 2 May was postponed to 27 May.
The Common law Admission Test (CLAT) has been postponed to 26 May and the Mumbai University examinations for 76 papers have been rescheduled due to the general elections.
