Amid tensions with China in eastern Ladakh, India has test-fired BrahMos supersonic cruise missile with extended range, Livefist has reported.

This development comes at a time when the Indian Army has deployed BrahMos and Nirbhay cruise missiles to deter Chinese adventurism in Ladakh.

Reports say the India Army has deployed BrahMos missiles in “sufficient numbers” to hit Chinese targets in the “worst-case scenario”.

The missile was tested with an indigenous booster, according to ANI.

The extended range version of the BrahMos cruise missile tested today, ANI says, “can hit targets at over 400 km range.”

This is a developing story. More details awaited.
