Indian Railways will operate two special trains as snowfall has hit the northern hill stations of the country, DNA reports.
The newly launched trains will run from Lucknow to Kathgodam and Gorakhpur to Malini respectively. Kathgodam is the last stoppage of the special train number 05043 and it can be accessed to travel to tourist locations like Nainital or Ranikhet.
The train will start from Lucknow on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday every week from 6 January 2021 to 30 January 2021. Similarly, it will start from Kothagudam for Lucknow on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday on a weekly basis. The train will halt at Bareilly, Bareilly City, Izzatnagar, Bhaujipura, Baheri, Kichha, Pantnagar, Lalkua and Haldwani on both sides.
The Gorakhpur-Malini special trains are numbered 05009/05010 and will run from 6 January to 31 January.
It will stop at stations like Maniram, Peppeganj, Kamparganj, Anand Nagar, Uska Bazaar, Siddharth Nagar, Shohratgarh, Barahani, Pachpedwa, Tulsipur, Jharkhandi, Balrampur, Gonda Jn, Barabanki Jn, Gomtnagar , Lucknow Aishbagh, Lucknow City, Sidhauli, Sitapur Jn, Hargaon, Lakhimpur and Gola Gokarnanath stations whilst operating on the given route.
