In a possible bid to make its service lucrative in the advent of the much awaited Jio GigaFiber service, Tata Sky has introduced a data rollover feature for its fixed broadband packs which will allow its customers to carryover unused monthly data to the next month, Telecom Talk has reported.
Data rollover means that if the customer has availed a 100 GB monthly pack and only ends up using 50 GB then the rest 50 GB would be carry forwarded to the next month. The report also claims that there is no limit on the data rollover facility and if the customer doesn’t use up any data, 100 per cent of it would be carry forwarded to the next month.
In the last few months Tata Sky has introduced various features and services under its broadband service keeping in mind the potential market disruption by Jio GigaFiber. It was reported that Tata Sky had extended its broadband service to new cities to extend its market coverage, while also introducing a wide range of plans.
