J&K: Three Jaish Terrorists Including Pakistani National Gunned Down By Security Forces In Pulwama Encounter

Three Jaish-e-Mohammad terrorists, including a Pakistani national, were killed in an encounter with security forces in Pulwama district of Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday (5 January).

Security forces launched a cordon and search operation in Chandgam village of Pulwama district which turned into an encounter, a police official said.

He said three ultras were killed in the exchange of fire with the security forces.

Inspector General of Police (IGP), Kashmir zone, Vijay Kumar said the slain terrorists belong to Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) and included a Pakistani national.

Further, arms and ammunition were also recovered from the encouter site.

"Three terrorists of terror outfit JeM including one Pakistani national killed. Incriminating materials, arms and ammunition including two M-4 carbine and one AK series rifle recovered. A big success for us," said IGP Kashmir.

Earlier on Tuesday (4 January), two terrorists of the Pakistan-based Lashkar-e-Taiba's (LeT) front TRF were neutralised by the security forces in an encounter in Okay area of Kulgam district.

Both the terrorists killed in Kulgam encounter were locals, according to the police. They were involved in several terror crimes.
