Member of the Legislative Assembly of Punjab, Navjot Singh Sidhu on Saturday (9 November) lauded Pakistan's Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan Niazi for having "won hearts" by inaugurating the Kartarpur Sahib Corridor, reports The Indian Express.
Senior Congress leader, Sidhu was a special invitee of PM Khan to attend the inauguration of the Corridor from the Pakistan's end. At the event, hailing PM Khan, Sidhu said, "No one can deny my friend Imran Khan's contribution."
Sidhu then also extended gratitude to PM Narendra Modi and said, "I am thanking Modi ji also, it does not matter if we have political differences, does not matter if my life is dedicated to Gandhi family, I am sending a Munnabhai MBBS style hug to you Modi sahab for this."
Further extending his praise for PM Khan, Sidhu said that the PM of the Islamic Republic had fulfilled the dream of four generations of Sikhs by opening the Corridor which connects the Dera Baba Nanak shrine in India with the Kartarpur Sahib shrine in Pakistan.
