Vishwas had been heading the party unit in Rajasthan for almost the last two years, but has been removed just as the state is scheduled to go for polls later this year. He has been replaced with Deepak Bajpai who’s been camping in Jaipur for the last one and a half month.
Congratulatory messages to Bajpai also skipped any reference to Vishwas, who’s made no secret of his rift with the central leadership comprising Delhi Chief Minister (CM) Arvind Kejriwal and Deputy CM Manish Sisodia.

This is the latest in a series of snubs Vishwas has suffered at the hands of the central AAP leadership with whom he has had a falling out about two years back. Vishwas was one of the founding members of the party and several supporters have urged him to end his association with the party and start his own outfit.
“A year-and-a-half ago in a meeting, Kejriwal smiled at me and said, we will hit you politically but ensure that you do not attain martyrdom. My only request is accept my martyrdom, and there is one rule for the martyrs, which is do not play with the dead body,” Vishwas had said earlier, when he was ignored for Rajya Sabha nominations in January.
