Former finance minister and senior BJP leader Arun Jaitley has now been placed on a life support system and in light of his condition a number of political leaders from different political parties have started pouring in at AIIMS Delhi where he is being treated, reports India Today.

Some of those who visited the hospital were Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, Congress leader Abhishek Singhvi, Union Minister Piyush Goyal, former Uttar Pradesh chief minister Mayawati, among others.

Jaitley was brought in to the hospital on 9 August after he complained of breathlessness and restlessness. He had also earlier undergone treatment at the hospital in May this year as well.

The veteran leader’s health is now being monitored by a number of doctors making up a multi-disciplinary team.

Jaitley had written to the prime minister prior to the Lok Sabha elections held this year that he could not be part of the government for a second time around due to his deteriorating health.
