Leaving behind their lucrative jobs in Saudi Arabia, 50 youths from Salani village in Mendhar are heading back home to avenge the death of their friend, Rifleman Aurangzeb, who was killed by terrorists in June as he was on his way for Eid celebrations, DNA has reported.
Aurangzeb’s killing had sent waves in the valley as his family sent out an emotional plea demanding revenge for their slain son. Aurangzeb’s brother too is an Indian Army soldier while his father too is a former Sepoy of the Jammu and Kashmir Light Infantry.
Mohammed Kiramat, amongst the youth who are returning to the village said that there only mission was to avenge the Aurangzeb’s death.
"When we heard about the killing of brother Aurangzeb, we left Saudi Arabia the same day, and forcibly got ourselves relieved from the job. It can't be done on the spot, but we managed somehow. 50 youth from this village returned with me," Kiramat said.
The youth have returned permanently and will be joining the Army and police to get back at the terrorists the report states.
The Indian Army has cracked down hard on terrorism in the valley, which has led to terrorists attacking off-duty police and army men. The terrorists had abducted Aurangzeb as he was on his way home and released a video of his interrogation. He was shot in the head and neck by the terrorists.
