Robert Vadra has lashed on the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government by saying that he, his wife and children are mentally affected by the ruling party.

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) carried out, on Friday (7 December), raids against three people linked to Sonia Gandhi’s son-in-law Robert Vadra in connection with the ‘alleged commissions’ received by some suspects in defence deals and illegal assets abroad, reported ABP live.

“I am a Robert Vadra, a citizen of this country; And I would like to talk to you people about how from past 4.5 years BJP has been troubling my family and me. Me my family and my kids have been affected mentally. I would like to tell everyone that BJP has been misusing power and continuously troubling me,” said Vadra.

He claimed that the BJP’s only reason to trouble him is that he is married into a political family and added that if the BJP had any proof, they would have arrested him.

The raids, reportedly, began around 12 noon and went on till late night with three unidentified people being questioned by ED investigators. However, Vadra’s lawyer claim that the ED officers were inside the premises since 8/9 am. Vadra alleges the probe against him aimed at “besmirching his dignity and reputation.”

The comments made by Vadra were backed by Congress leader Kapil Sibal who said the people in power especially the Prime Minister think that the exit polls would be proved right and therefore they are scared.
