After Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), anti-citizenship amendment bill (CAB) protests erupted in Lucknow’s Nadwa college with students pelting stones and shoes, besides shouting anti-government slogans, Times of India reported.
Reports claim that there was stone pelting for a brief amount of time when a mob of around 150 students reached near the college gate. The cops as a result locked the students inside.
As reported by Smita Prakash, the cops subsequently made it clear to the college administration that in case anyone take the law in their own hands, they will face the necessary consequences. Following this warning, the students began returning back to the classrooms.
